In my post of Aug 14, 2024 I wrote about the importance of paying attention to the astrology/planetary positions of the exchange that a commodity futures contract trades on. I pointed out that this wisdom comes courtesy of W.D. Gann who advised this approach back in his day.

Platinum futures started trading in 1956 on what at the time was called the Commodity Exchange (COMEX) in New York. If one generates a natal horoscope wheel for the December 1956 first trade date of Platinum futures one sees that Mars is at 28 Pisces and Jupiter is at 28 Virgo. So…what does this tell us?

If one looks at the natal birth horoscope for COMEX (which came about from the merger of 4 exchanges in New York (see my post of Aug 14), it immediately becomes clear that at the 1956 Platinum first trade date, Mars was 180 degrees opposite the COMEX natal Mars point and Jupiter is conjunct the 1933 natal Mars point.

Once again, the choice of first trade dates back in the 1950s for various commodities was not a random selection. The first trade dates were carefully selected to provide for a deliberate alignment to the natal astrology of the exchange that the futures contract was to trade on. This sent a message to the “bankers and Wall Street players” as to how to play Platinum trades.

W.D. Gann was absolutely correct in his assertion that traders must pay attention to the astrology of the individual exchange.

To add to my observation, let’s now take a look at a price chart of Platinum with some astrology applied to it…
