In 2007, scientists at the Geophysical Institute in the Czech Republic mathematically modeled the gravitational effects of Venus-Earth, Mars-Earth, and Venus-Mars on the movement of the center of Sun. They found that the center of the Sun moves in what can best be described as a hearth shape with an inner radius of 101.3 km and an outer radius of 808 km.
They found a periodicity to this Sun movement which seems to align to heliocentric movement of the inner planets (Venus, Earth, Mars). This periodicity extends into Nature. Look up material (do a Google search for…) by Edward Dewey who was a cycle researcher. He documents many cycles from Nature (plants and animals) that are 9.6 years long (6 x Venus-Earth cycles, 4.5 x Earth-Mars cycles).
To show you an example, let’s go all the way back to the early 1970s.
In October 1973 geopolitics was running “hot” in the Middle East. OPEC was flexing its muscle. North American consumers were facing rising energy costs. The economy was in danger of slowing. The market players were getting skittish. Emotion was becoming fearful. The Dow Jones had skidded over 40% by the time October 1974 rolled around.
But look closer at the price chart. Earth and Mars were 0-degrees conjunct in October 1973 right as the Dow Jones was at the 1000 level. In October 1974 as the Dow was finding some stability, Earth and Mars were 180 degrees opposite. The Dow started to rally and then successfully re-tested the October lows. It went on to rally to the 850 level where it took a break and consolidated. As Earth and Mars came to a 0-degree conjunction again in December 1975, the Dow surged higher and re-visited the 1000 level.
Such is the effect planetary movement has on human emotion and the markets. Flip back in the history books and you can read about the other things that occurred around this time too - Nixon resigning from the White House, the 1973 Yom Kippur war, and so on.
Now, let’s dig a bit deeper and look further at more inner planet movement that affects the markets.
