Way back in the late 1600s, Isaac Newton said that every particle in the universe attracts every other particle with a force proportional to the product of their masses. The force is inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them. The gravitational constant, g, is the proportionality constant in this law.

This idea is now called Newton’s Law of Gravitational Attraction. Mathematically, this law is expressed as:

F = g * (m1 * m2) / r², where m1 and m2 are the masses of the two objects, r is the distance between their centers, and g is the gravitational constant.

On Earth (the 3rd planet from the Sun) the gravitational constant (g) is 9.8 m/s2. If this number looks familiar, it should because you were shown this number in college physics class.

Venus is the 2nd planet from the Sun and it exerts a gravitational force of attraction of 8.87 m/s2.

Our bodies are mostly made up of water. Hence a gravitational pull on our body can (and does) affect our biological system (our emotion). Seeing that Venus has a gravitational constant that is not too far different from what we experience on Earth, we can thus conclude that we are physiologically affected by both Earth and Venus.

If this is the case, we should be able to see a change in emotion that varies with the position of Venus. The position of interest is the heliocentric latitude of Venus. That is, the position of Venus as it moves above and below the ecliptic plane of motion. This heliocentric latitude is as viewed from a fixed location in space (ie the Sun).

There are software programs that will create plots of the heliocentric latitude of Venus. There are also websites on-line that contain the data for you to use. Pick a stock or commodity that you are interested in. Use the software or use the on-line data to look specifically to see when Venus’ heliocentric latitude is at 0 and at maximum. Do you see any impact on the price of the stock or commodity?

Let’s look at an example….
